Kombucha is a fermented tea, an ancient drink that has been used for thousands of years. The benefits most often attributed to kombucha are improved digestion, increased energy and a clear mind.
Purasana kombucha is a green tea, fermented with the help of a “scoby” (Symbiotic Culture Of friendly Bacteria and Yeasts). The sugar serves as food for this “scoby”.
Each real kombucha is made from tea, water and sugar. Most of the sugar is used during the fermentation process by the bacteria before the kombucha is bottled, so the final drink contains hardly any sugar.
In Purasana we only use certified organic green tea, herbs and fruits.
